Nordic Walking, it’s a Game Changer
Protects your joints while increases your fitness.
I was introduced to Nordic Walking by my mother some years ago now and haven’t looked back since, it was also my form of rehabilitation in the time I spent recovering from a severe knee injury (2021).
Nordic walking increases fitness and supports fat burning, while protecting joints. Using the poles reduces compression on the hip and knee joints, offering an upper body workout.
Walking with poles means you can go for longer and access tougher terrain such as cliff walks and uphills. It’s a very social way of exercising as you go for longer distances and can maintain a higher pace. Walking at a higher pace for longer durations means you are hitting the fat burning zone, working aerobically, waking up your metabolism (a complimentary form of exercise from Phase 3 onwards on my Metabolic Programme).
I can honestly say, Nordic Walking has now become part of my families weekly interests and way that we can spend time together, offering a deep connection to the Island and a highly beneficial form of exercise.
If you fancy giving Nordic Walking ago, you can book in for a 45 minute session with me. Sessions are £20.00 and poles are provided.
