Holidaying in Jersey

You don’t have to go far to be on holiday…

I decided to take two days off as I needed a break from my many jobs. The weather was overcast and I didn’t have a flight booked to go anywhere so I made the most of what our beautiful home, Jersey, has to offer us everyday.

My mother and her partner, kindly let me move into the spare room at their farm in St Mary’s for two nights. I had the days to myself and over the course of my staycation, this is what I spent my time doing:

  • Hiking along the North Coast with my Nordic Poles listening to my favourite podcasts: The Nutrition Nuggets, by Dale Pinnock.

  • Experimented with some new recipes for my Body Reset Members Area.

  • Caught up o some Nutritional study.

  • Read my book, Green Lights by Matthew McConaughey.

  • Booked in a massage with a friend.

  • Stretched.

  • Learnt some new exercise classes for my clients.

  • Went to a Pilates Class.

  • Watched Peaky Blinders (my favourite).

  • Made sure my alarm was NOT turned on.

  • Face-timed my sister.

I didn’t go to a hot destination to be on holiday, but I also didn’t have the pressure of packing or having to be anywhere. I felt revived and like I had had a proper holiday all from the parish of St Mary’s. If you cannot get off the Island, enjoy being an Islander and slowing down for a few days.
